CUT BACK OPPOSITE SIDE OF ADJUSTABLE BLOCK ONLY

(1) Remove the door and machine a rebate in the bottom of the door 34mm x 15mm (Fig. 1).

(2) Measure the door width.

(3) Machine cut the seal unit less 1mm for operating clearance if mounting plates are not rebated, less 3mm if rebated. Shorten the inner section of seal 1mm more each end for free travel up and down.

(4) Fit seal into groove with adjustable block on hinged side of the door and secure the mounting plate with the screw provided, making sure that the tongue is firmly supporting the seal housing. (Fig. 2).

(5) Fit the second mounting plate on the latch side. (Fig. 3.)

(6) Re-hang the door and position the striker button where the adjustable block meets the door jamb. Close the door and observe the seal travel.

(7) Adjust the seal travel to make full contact with the cill. To adjust the seal travel pull out the adjustable block to clear the aluminium housing. Firmly holding the metal threaded rod, turn the adjustable block clockwise to reduce the seal travel and anti-clockwise to increase the seal travel. NB. To compress the seal is not necessary since this will increase the wear on the seal.

(8) The seal is factory set to seal a door bottom that is parallel with the floor. To adjust, the screw level adjustment screw is located on the latch side of the door.
