NB Threshold Strip

Measure the distance between the jambs and cut the threshold strip to suit, notching around the door stop if necessary.

Bed the threshold strip in waterproof mastic on the floor/cill and fix so that the centre line is approximately 2mm in front of the face of the door (outside face with NBWB or inside face with ACS). Fig.1

Trim the door to allow approximately 9mm clearance between the underside of the door and the top of the threshold strip. Fig.2

Carefully measure neoprene compression seal to fit the threshold strip and notch if necessary. Push the neoprene seal into the threshold strip from the top.

NBWB Weatherboard

Measure the appropriate length for the weatherboard, which may be full width of the door, between stops, or between the stop seals, if present. Trim the weatherboard to this length and radius one or both ends as necessary.

Cut the neoprene storm seal to the same length, pull into the weatherboard and pinch both ends of the track on to the insert to prevent any movement.

Position the weatherboard on the outside of the door so that the rounded aluminium section is making light, but continuous contact with the neoprene seal in the threshold strip. ark this position and fix the weatherboard in place, bedding it firmly in mastic. Fig.3

Open and close the door several times to check ease of action.

ACS Contact Strip

Measure an appropriate length of contact strip, which may be full-width of the door, between the stops, or between the stop seals, if present. Trim the contact strip to this length.

Position the contact strip on the inside of the door so that the rounded aluminium section is making light, but continuous contact with the neoprene seal in the threshold strip. Mark this position and fix the contact strip in place. Fig.4
