Engineered for superior acoustical performance in reducing the transmission of airborne and impact sound through wall and floor/ceiling assemblies. The GenieClip® is a unibody molded rubber and galvanized steel part used to attach plasterboard to either wall or floor/ceiling assemblies. Made from 98% recycled components (even the metal housing is made from recycled material), and engineered to allow reduction in assembly weight, the GenieClip® contributes to LEED certified building.

GENIECLIP BENEFITS
Now you can replace those Double Stud Contructions:
Vibration absorbing GenieClips are superb for upgrading the sound insulation of any wall and particularly effective at reducing loud music and bass penetrating through a party (or internal) wall. Ideally a new studframe should be constructed at least 25mm away from the existing wall and infilled with our 45-60kg/m³ acoustic mineral wool The frame should be isolated around the perimeter using our 6mm thick resilient floor tape allowing for enough tape protruding from beneath the frame for the plasterboard to sit on which will kepp the plasterboard from touching the floor, ceiling and side walls. If you want even better results we have two excellent products which can be stapled over the frame before fitting the GenieClips. Either the heavy Tecsound 2FT80 Acoustic Quilt or the 5kg/m² Tecsound T50 Acoustic Membrane. Some customers choose to also stick the acoustic membrane between the two sheets of plasterboard which creates a visco-elastic damping layer thus further improving performance. Any tape protruding from the finished edges can be cut away and then the small gap filled with our flexible acoustic sealant to finish off the job.
