ACOUSTIC BLINDS filter both light and sound.

In an open plan office, a quiet atmosphere is essential to allow people to concentrate. A meeting, however, is only effective when all participants can hear each other clearly. The acoustic treatment of the window surfaces is frequently identified as an essential requirement for meeting rooms situated adjacent to open plan workspace.

The function of Abso blinds is to absorb sound reflections. The blades consist of a foam core, protected on both sides by an acoustic fabric covering.

The blinds adapt to conventional rail systems and conform to fire safety requirements.


Please Note: These Acoustic Blinds are not designed to reduce traffic noise coming in through windows. They are an absorber product for reducing the reverberation time in highly glazed offices they are not an insulation product.

Acoustic Blinds for Acoustic Absorption

Acoustics
The sound absorption performance of the Abso blinds is based on two primary factors:
  • the specific characteristics of the blade material - particularly with respect to its density, its flexibility and its porosity
  • the orientation of the blades in front of the hard glass surface does not affect their sound absorbent characteristics - whether the blinds are open or closed, the acoustic absorption remains high.

    Quality
    The quality of the finish - top, bottom, side - complements the function of the Abso blinds, i.e. to ensure the acoustic comfort of the users.

    Light
    Due to the reflection coefficients of the two standard colours - one low, one high - and the ease with which the orientation of the Abso blinds can be adjusted, the ideal filtering of light can readily be chosen to suit the current activity within the working area.

    Durability
    Abso blades are exceptionally resistant to ageing by the simple addition of:
  • UV resistant components
  • rugged construction
  • the Aeria fabric covering that inhibits dust collection.
